Frontiera

Chemical centrifugal pumps of standardised process ISO 2858, made of pure thermoplastics and fluoropolymers, with various solutions to solve the pumping of chemicals in their many applications. The innovation stands in the use of stainless steel surface areas instead of the cast iron: casing, joint cover and base. The materials used and the pump housings are identical for the all project while interior settings can be different. The pumps can be magnetical driven or with mechanical seal. The coupling of the pump to the motor can be accomplished by a mechanical support and flexible removable coupling (for back-pull out operation) or self-centring flanged for close coupled construction.
4 versions are available: 2 magnetic driven (TGF – ZGF) and 2 mechanical sealed (TMF – ZMF)

Capacity: up to 90m3/h
Construction: close or long coupled
Motor powers: kW 0,55 ÷ 15
Wetted parts: PP, E-CTFE

ISO 2858 standards

Thanks to the compliance with ISO 2858, Frontiera pumps can operate into heavy applications related to chemical industry for example.

Atex standards

All metallic and thermoplastic standard executions are adequate to operate in explosive atmospheres classified Zone 2 (Serie II 3/3 IIB T4). For operations in areas classified Zone 1 (Serie II 2/2 GD IIB T4), we offer pumps made of conductive parts for all thermoplastic and metallic versions.

Applications

The Frontiera range is the technical solution for offering a great balancing between its elements. All components in contact with the pumped liquids are realised in PP or E-CTFE and the pump is covered with a solid armour made of AISI 316 for making the pump more robust and chemically more resistant. Thanks to the materials used, Frontiera ensures the highest chemical resistance to the most aggressive liquids.

Composition

One of the best techno-polymers known for its chemical and mechanical resistance. Pumps made of E-CTFE can pump any liquid: highly corrosive, abrasive, hard liquids and even with high temperatures. Thanks to its structure, E-CTFE offers a superior robustness, and thus it improves reliability and durability.

Polypropylene ZGE pump

Wide and comprehensive range of process chemical centrifugal pumps made of pure thermoplastics and fluoropolymers, they are sized according to ISO 2838 and can be supplied bare shaft or complete with base plate and coupling with a spacer (for back-pull out operation). The pump bodies are extremely rugged, machined from solid thermoplastics with an outer metal casing.

Capacity: up to 1700 m3/h
Construction: long or close coupled
Motor powers: kW 0,55 ÷ 200
Wetted parts: PP, U-PVC, PVDF, UHMW-PE

ISO 2858 standards

ZGE pumps can operate into heavy applications such as chemical industry.

Applications

They can drag liquids with suspended solids or moderately abrasive thanks to their construction in polymers and the different types of mechanical seal available. The parts in contact with the pumped liquid are totally resistant to chemical agents with low or high temperatures.

Composition

Chemically and mechanically resistant, this thermoplastic polymer is used for ZGE pump to transfer acids, alkalis, detergents or even solvents. Thanks to its properties and dimensional stability, polypropylene is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant as well as moderately abrasion-resistant.

Saturn Evo

Integrally produced by Argal in its plant located in Italy, they are created by RTM injection moulding technology: parts are manufactured laying long-strand fiberglass mat in moulds before injecting the resin.
The use of fiberglass mat of different weight, texture orientation and numbers, reinforces the structure of the pump in the most mechanically solicited areas and at the same time offers high-quality surface finish and excellent chemical resistance of the wetted surfaces.
Saturn pumps are available in two versions: ZGS (long-coupled) and ZMS (close-coupled).

Capacity: up to 1350 m3/h
Construction: close or long coupled
Motor powers: kW 3 ÷ 160
Wetted parts: Fiberglass

ANSI-ASME B73.1 Standards

These pumps are made in accordance with ANSI/ASME B73.1.

Applications

The design and the inherent resistance of FRP confer to these pumps the mechanical strength that can be compared to pumps constructed with metallic alloys.
The construction available with different blends of epoxy-vinyl-ester makes these pumps resistant to a broader list of corrosive and moderately abrasive chemicals. They can operate for common use and for seawater applications: as an alternative for metallic pumps, they ideally operate in water treatment applications, seawater aquarium, depuration of municipal and industrial wastewaters, as well as in general productive processes deploying chemical fluids.
